A sadder than sad day.

I sent a bitch ( not mine ) to vets a few months back with tumour on her belly. She done a great job removing it and tidy stiches but she said when cancer sets in to a dog you do what you can but it's very rare that it won't return within a year. The same after care that a human would recieve just isn't there. Constant scans, taking bloods , chemo and radium can run into hundreds of thousands. It just isn't feasible with a dog unfortunately.

I think that last line  pretty much sums it all up ,during our life our dogs be they workers or just a valued pet leave us and are gone  but they are never forgotten .
