Just been sorting my locators out ready for this year, and am unsure want to do I have 5 knocker box’s 2 definitely work and 3 collars to go with them, 

I all so have a nearly new mk 2 finder with no collar,,,,,

do I sell all the mk 1 stuff and buy 4 new collars for the mk2 or sell the mk2 and  buy another mk1 collar as the mk1 stuff is getting older iv had it for years

Or sell the lot and get a mk3 set up

Whatever you feel comfortable using I’ve got both but only ever use the mark 1

Yer I bought the mk2 7 years a go and never used it ! ( I have however lost the bloody collar when I moved house) 

whats the mk2 worth ? 

And anyone got a mk 1 collar for sale ? Or want to swap ?

Had a mk 2 box once couldn’t get a collar from anywhere sold box for 40 quid on eBay

I have a mk3, no complaints

I very much dowt if that mk2 is worth anything.....there were issues with it...I think they only work with one collar ..and have a short battery life

Aye the mk3s. A great bit of kit if you can work it and be bothered by the noise but I always go back to the old faithful mk1s

sell the lot on eBay and buy yourself a new mk3 and a couple of collars.

Leave the antiques to keep using the antiques mate.

I've had the lot and Mk3 is the best of them all. they are far more accurate than a mk1 or 2...thats a simple fact that I have tried and tested to prove to myself..take my word for it.

Yes I think your right think a mk3 and 2 collars is about £270 now ,

A lot of the mk3s aren't spot on either  though , the only time ive had bother with the mk1s are when there was a dog wire buried round the properties garden . and i work mine in a few places

Mk1's  where always a nightmare in fields with stock fencing, not what you want when you need to push on
