I got a gsd next door and iv been tempted to plug the noisy bastord a few times believe me  ? I stick to me lurcher after all it be a poor one that didnt guard its home ? But unlike a gsd she dont. Bark constant at every fleckin noise ?

I’d go Mali if gsd before them bandogs they don’t look very agile just big slavering lumps struggle jump a baby gate lol

Is their any decent strains of Boxer dogs about these days the old man DID his national service in the RVC and was stationed in the middle east and said the boxers they had were capable guard dogs but suffered in the heat.

That's what's good about bandog types,they are happy to lay around all day until an intruder appears and then you see how agile they can be.Depends on your personality but I couldn't stand a hypo shepherd type running around,barking,getting bored and destructive.

I know what you mean mate, I've been. Lucky with all my dogs, that none of them bark if anybody about, my lurchers don't bark or guard they far to friendly  and when I had bullmastffs they didn't really bark that much. I think as well  all my dogs I've had were kept outside round back of my house, so really nothing to guard only there kennels and garden lol.. And that won't change, OK we got little woody in my bungalow, but only because my lad had him his house before, he  about 10   so not going to put him out now. Another thing  where a bandog type,  or  breeds simlar they don't molt, gsd etc, fook me Buck only 1/2 gsd but he molts alot get bag full from him. So looking at the big picture just for me,  the way I live I don't need or want a very vocal type guard dog,  I quiet dogs, may be a vocal dog be useful to other people, but not for me really., the  Bandog type prob be more suited to me than gsd type thinking about really, if I ever wanted guard type dog

Same here,not talking about your lurcher,he'd be a good type of dog for a lot, or most game but pure shepherd type dogs aren't for me as guard,yard dogs.

Me back talking shit lol I come into a yard tooled up you have a Mali or shepherd doing hundred mile an hour flying into you to make a good connection to it’s head Is hard

you been round all them dogs you no how easy it is to knock a dog out 

plus a slavering no barking dog I’d just slip abit a resin in some meat throw it over it’s out all day 

a gsd barking when I’m 30 yds away will have me on edge just to throw out in with it 

there again they may of re invented the wheel we’re guards pp dogs a concerned with these bandogs but I Would hold me breath lol

You get a couple a lurchers kennelled I’ve never known them not to guard bark it’s what dogs do lol 

nothing to guard kennel garden lol that is what it’s protecting it’s den the same as a wolf would lol

Is that why a bandog came 2nd in the AVD night trials a couple of years back and the following year it was won by a bandog over multiple malis and herders.A trial which has probably some of the hardest testing in this country where I personally saw a few herders quit cold when they started taking a pasting.If you're ever in the south east Id like you to come and jump into mine or my pals garden and knock one of our bandogs out.

Have an acquaintance from London that once killed 2 police dogs in a sitting empty handed be doing some manuaver wi there front legs
