I know a chap that keeps competition pits, and he has 3 full collies as guard dogs, and their evil furkers, no sneaking from being either, face on attackers, even he's wary of them at times

Feck feeding another dog , just put up a couple of Isis flags .. got the police watching my house 24/7 now ?

I married a Northern lass good with kids bit agressive around house & can cook. No one visits anymore. Atb

If you want a yard dog and something to guard your kennels i personally dont think you can beat a well bred bandog type.Naturally territorial, generally not dog aggressive if properly socialised, physic

they deff be handful  mate ,  i watching a vid on them couple years back , and some lines deff got apbt in them , in the vid they were very full on dogs, looked bit bigger than your average  bel mal , they go about 25-26 in 75lb the bloke said on the vid, was black bloke , who had them for pp work , strong dogs with good jaw , if couldnt get well bred gsd , i go for well bred dutch shepherd , if wanted good guard dog, i do like the bandog types , but on average they dont bark alot , in my mind  a guard dog ( got) to bark to let you know who about deff , or there no point having a guard dog .?

What do you mean they dont bark a lot? They'll bark if someones about which is when they're supposed to bark.Who wants a dog that runs around barking at f**k all so when there is someone about you end up ignoring them or telling them to f***ing shut up

That's a trait I like about the Akita, they very rarely bark at all.

No what I meant, was you want a dog, to let you know so body say  about 30 yds from your property, you don't want a dog who only barks if there on your property, meaning you want to be alerted well before then to deal with it. Don't get wrong I hate dogs barking for feck all,  but  sensible guard dog  should bark only to let you know somebody about. Don't forget I had bullmastffs, they guard alright but not sharp enough, to docile in my mind. A well bred Alastian do same job, but far more aleart when needed. I like bull type breeds, and as you know like bandogs,  suoppse having bullmastffs prob clouded my judgment on the big heavy breeds. But they reckon that we'll bred Neo, one of the best guard dogs to get,  and drop of bulldog in it, hell of guard dog. ?

My neighbor's would soon get pissed off if mine barked everytime someone was within 30yds of my property and I live in a village that isn't overly busy but I still get plenty of people passing by and I can only imagine how it would be living in a town or on an estate.I like the fact that my surrounding neighbours all say that if the hear Gypsy bark they get up and have a look because they know shes doing it for a reason.I couldn't think of anything worse than living with a hyperactive herder that spends half the day or night barking at every single noise.

My lurcher bitch here won’t make a sound. But Got a kids play park out back my place. Chavsstart messing about climbing fence after couple bottles of beer and showing off she will bark like she a Alsatian hackles up the lot. But soft as a teddy if anybody comes to front door and knocks. Strange how they know the difference
