Feck feeding another dog , just put up a couple of Isis flags .. got the police watching my house 24/7 now ?

I married a Northern lass good with kids bit agressive around house & can cook. No one visits anymore. Atb

If you want a yard dog and something to guard your kennels i personally dont think you can beat a well bred bandog type.Naturally territorial, generally not dog aggressive if properly socialised, physic

i started out with bull breeds  30 odd years ago bull mastiffs  , the staffs and pit weren't  guards to friendly , the bull mastiffs were the guards. being honest they were very easy to live with docile , but would guard if stranger came round , dont think they bite but you never know with any big breed what it do. the only reason i got fed up with them was , because of health probs  HD  shoulder probs not long lived, but  over the years ive seen fair few gsds that had similar prob as bull mastffs . well these Bandogs  i think would def be differnt type animal, be more healthy and prob  more switched on than any bullmastiff  , and maybe not over the top regards price getting one .  i  think prob  finish  with a  mastiff type dog, just as guard and pet dog   and should be ok in kennel in the day my bullmastiffs were ok in kennel in winter, but  had them in at night, no rush  prob be 3 years time when old Bryn gone the old bugger quite fit now , only keep 2 dogs at any one time,  2   more  than enough as you get older , suppose with Bandogs  its getting the right ones, and knowing where they are  getting a pup , bit like lurchers or terriers , coursing dogs you got to do your home work , and travel to get the right pup, plenty of time to do that as yet .!

Mate of mine used to have a staff on his yard had to put a spring on his chain as he was going that hard he'd brake his collar. He would let anyone in it was getting back out was the problem. They had a ups fella get in while they was out and he ended up sat on the hill waiting for them to come back as the dog wouldn't let him back out the gate

They can do 10/12years.Health reguarding hips, entropia and such like depends on the percentage of mastiff in the mix and obviously how strict the breeders are with their breeding stock.

Not bad at all for the size of dog.

Incidentally what size range do they run to? With Pit and Neo in the mix I could imagine anything from 60lbs to 130lbs?

nice pups them, and the police are using this x alot now , they want healthier type dog, the mail , will give better hips, as HD , and   elbow /hd  prone  in pure gsds . its same with Buck the 4/8 greyhound in him give lot more healthier  dog than pur gsd, but he picked up the greys temp   soft with people and ok with dogs , he dont guard   , just looks the part  haha

The met police tried using mali's and mali crosses but scrapped it as they wern't suited to being stuck in a box in the back of a car for 7hrs out of a 8hr shift. The guy i know who ran the met police breeding programme said that even a lot of the Eastern European bloodline Shepherds wernt suited to it as they'd just spend the whole shift spinning round and round in the box barking constantly.

didnt know  that, what dogs are they using now then / is it still gsds, but from differnt lines , as they wanted to keep the gsd size and strength  , and not  have smaller dogs. i know a ex Raf  dog handler , who help pick pups out for the police to use , he went for temp/ size  that what he told me, confident  bold pups  .
