Smart Phone recommendation?

I don't have a smart phone,i prefer low-tech £10 nokia,does the job,but I am going to need a smart phone for a couple of months,just so my kids can see what I am up to,i can send them footage,take pics,keep them updated,whats everyone got including pros and cons?

Sony xperia xa compact, small, good camera, does all the shit,easy to use

OnePlus cheap (relative to iPhone etc) most powerful hardware,charges really fast and not full of embedded shete software. Oh and the two I've had have been bombproof

umidigi a1 pro, £85, one of the few that don`t need charging every bloody day (depending on how often you use it) decent entry level smart phone

Huawei do a good range in price and not full of shite ya don't need like Samsung an apple. Best camera on the market at present too if that's going to be one of your main uses. Just my opinion. I'd go android though as apple stop supporting stuff after a couple of years so ya have to buy the latest model!

Its getting dumped after my trip so aint too bothered if it stops supporting stuff,i will do some research on the Huawei camera though,the main criteria is decent camera,decent memory,thats about it really?

Any run of the mill Samsung will do you mate. J7 or above will set you back around 200notes, they've a decent camera and plenty of memory.

I will have a look round today mate,my kids were saying get the latest I-phone (because one of them wanted it after)but its £1100?For a couple of months use,thats almost the price of a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Everest base camp.

I'm on my second iPhone SE. Cheaper than the bigger ones but with much of the technology in the smaller sized unit.

It is mate, I've got it and blows others away. Outright your looking at 4-600 or 40ish a month on contract
