I like my browning t bolt with ase mod, very accurate, using fedrals now can put them in the sames holes at 100yds

I too have a browning t bolt and it’s a lovely rifle I also have a cz in .17 and that is a very accurate rifle for not a lot of money, if you want a bit of posh and don’t mind spending a few quid than have a look at the tikka t1x, they couldn’t of made it look and feel more like a centre fire if they tried

i put a dpt mod on the cz and I’m very happy with it, its very light and you can break it down to about 8 pieces to clean it, it was £80 so not to bad and it will go on the .22

Owned mine from new CZ452 American with the 16” Varmint barrel with a Sak on the end , about nine years I’ve had it and it’s never let me down accurate head shots on bunny’s consistently I have had Close range foxes but that subject has been discussed many a time with differing opinions.

i would highly recommend.

I have exactly the same gun as this and can't recommend it enough.

For the money you can't go wrong.

Looks like the CZ452 then but I did think about Sako finnfire

My mate had a finnfire in .22. Nice rifle but no real advantage over the CZ.

You can by a .17 CZ with a bling laminated Boyds stock fitted for £200 less than a Finnfire and it looks a $1M more, plus it's available in 16" barrels off the peg:

Scroll down and there are various stock options that blow the Finnfire away in my opinion:

Nothing wrong with the Sako at all, but it will give you nothing more in the field than a CZ, and lighten your pocket a lot more.  If you fancy one go for it, but seriously, don't expect anything more than the CZ offers!

Stainless t-bolt 16” varmint looks like a nice tool. Might be worth a look??

Trouble with SS is it's double the price and really if you look after any firearm properly it should last a lifetime. They are very smart but I just can't justify to myself paying out for SS, I'm a tight old git though I admit ?

I know you’ve got the t-bolts Gav, and very good they are. It’s just that I happened to have a look over the ss varmint model recently, and I thought it looked like a good tool. No better than the sporter model though I’m sure?and as you say, you’ve got to take into consideration the extra cost?

I've got a couple of Stainless in bigger calibres, it's a long story and I never set out with than intention.

I look after all my guns and treat them all the same, I'm more than happy with conventional blued, but each to their own!
