Same here mate my last lurcher I had for 9 years died 4 years ago and I've only got back into them this couple of years I was sickened by it but my red Bitch that my friend had he couldn't get her out any more  because work so I took over and my dog was from my brother in law who's wife had her first kid same story with him 

i love see what the lads have got and what puppies are just starting out and what dogs are being and retired and some of the older dogs that ain't running no more

I think all the Old lurchers breeds had that trait very trainable and she's not doing so bad then sounds like she's doing all you could ask of her at the minute mate
