Was at the frampton show weekend just gone, been attending it for years and every year it's less country folk with skills and countryside stuff and more like a Sunday market full of stools selling over priced tat and div,s walking round with a bulldog and a gold plated chunky chain over the polo neck, it's bath and west this weekend coming

I was there as well , i too have been going for years. Only cos I get a free ticket . I’ve given up moaning about it and instead enjoy it for what it is . I can’t walk 10 yards without bumping into someone I know and having a natter. There is a bit of tat there , but they seem to sell the shit . There is something for all the family at Frampton , lots of demonstrations, drystone walling , fly tying, wood turning . Sheepdogs . The hunt and the Lancers in the main ring . What always makes me chuckle are the guys who turn up covered from head to toe in realtree .... was that you Greyman ?

I was at the gamefair last year walking around in shorts and flip-flops but couldn't help noticing the amount of realtree-clad folk with big-boots wandering around.

Army surplus dmp for me mate but I was with the family so wearing normal civi,s, I enjoyed the birds of prey, the resident pigeons were getting a bit sketchie and a few times the bop got distracted, think it was better the later in the day it got, by 4 the crowds were thinning and the stalls were starting to flog off a lot of stuff they did,nt want to take home, think next year I,ll just wander over for the last couple of hours,  it's also hard to get a beer and a pie in the three shoes on show weekend which I enjoy when I,m in Frampton Usually,  was that you in the private gin tent with the master of hounds and rollie Clifford ?

once they get too commercialised they loose what they once were, they become a rip off, all just to rob the coin from ya and riddled with antis trying to get folk nicked. the smaller ones are more like the old types we used to go to. one of the best over here used to be the moira. but now the old prison site is just a total rip off same as the balmoral show.
