school dinners,fond memories

me and the missus were chilling yesterday and reminiscing about school dinners.

i dont know what they are like these days (pretty crappy here in canada)

but our faves were

school curry

rissoles

spotted dick and thick custard

coconut jam sponge cake

pink blancmange

and they we digressed to salt n vinegar crisp butties and banana butties

?

Yup,i remember the pop man and the bread van,and the rag and bone man and the dodgy video man with porn vids on VHS in the boot of his car 

Used to sell my free school meal ticket and play pitch and toss to get more money to buy some better food down the village ......

College?f***ing hell I barely finished school,used to nick pints of milk from doorsteps and shoplift grub during the hard times :icon_redface: sad on reflection.

i didnt achieve anything in college.

i remember night fishing then hearing the milkman chinking the bottles,then we would go rob some milk

I used to sell my pack lunch for the price of ten fags then beg a sarnie or two from the geek kids..

A little book of tickets one for each day of the week,i was chuffed I was getting free food,I didn't realise it marked me out as a poor kid :laugh: f***ing hell,my kids wouldn't believe it if I told them :cray:

I remember the pink parrafin van,the rag and bone man and the milk man who'd chuck loads of us kids on his cart and let us deliever the bottles for him and we'd all share a pint with the biggest kid getting the cream top..?
