TL:DR Hammond along with his family and friends were subjected to "anaesthetic gas" before valuables were stolen from them and their guests as they all slept. My mates dad is a truck driver and he said years ago they had to be careful of the gassing lorries and stealing the trailers. This has clearly evolved into a larger MO.
