Tikka t1x or the hw66 in 17hmr

Hi lads [NO TEXT TALK] got any advise which to go for handled the hw66 yesterday and rely liked the feel but ain’t had the chance of the tikka tx1

Don't know! But every tikka I handled, owned and shot beat every offering HW can offer, airguns excluded.

I have a tikka t3 in 223 so going down the lines of same action on t1 as the t3. My local rfd don’t naw when he can get his hands on one as there ain’t not specific date as yet

I picked up my tikka t1x on Thursday and love it already, took it out this morning to zero it and it feels just like using my t3x.

lovely crisp trigger and the accuracy you expect from tikka.

absolutely nothing wrong with my cz 452 hmr but I don't see it making many more outings to be honest

What scope you put on it mate and what length barrel did you go for thinking of the 16”

i got a t1 x a month or so ago and my mate would quite happily swap his wheirauch hmr for it

16 inch barrel and a Nikko Stirling diamond lr scope.

got the same scope on my tikka t3x .222 and it does the job nicely

Nothing wrong with either, both will serve you well so it comes down to PERSONAL preference, money, aesthetics, feel etc.

I have an hw60j(hornet),which is very good imo. Well engineered, lovely trigger and very accurate. I’ve got to say that I do like the look of these new tikka rimfires though. If they did them in .22wmr I’d be very interested in a closer look at one. It’d be the 16” barrel version for me.
