Ride on Lawnmower Help

Where else to turn to in your hour of need than the General Section of THL.

I have a ride on mower and the front of the deck dropped and is scrapping along the ground. The rear of the deck is fine andI Ican't see anything obvious that is causing this.

Any lawnmower experts on who might be able to advise?

not sure what make you have

i am guessing the deck is mid mounted.so there is a mounting bar from underneath the front wheels

that connects to the front of the deck

Thanks Ted,it's a castel, similar to a castle garden.

Yep it's mid mounted. Theres a bar going from each wheel to the deck and they seem ok and still connected.

There doesn't look to be anything missing

try looking at the drive pulley under the engine between the front wheels

has that shifted?

as the drive belt runs from the front of the deck up to that pulley

 

otherwise not much makes sense without pictures.

the rear of the deck is controlled by the grass cutting height handle and the front of the deck is on those two bars which go

up and down accordingly

 

the cutting deck should be suspended by four bars,two on the front two on the rear

front tyres could also be low on air

causing the front of the deck to catch the ground

reckon Griff is the man for this ,probaly need an old ss sink ,washing machine drum and a leaf spring of a series 2 landrover and your mower will be better than new!

needs bigger wheels on the front or trade it in for a Dacia like on the tele
