You have three problems here..

1. The Nite Site Dark Ops version is 940NM in the IR spectrum which means its not visible to the eye at all human/animal , the problem being the beam doesn't throw anywhere near as far because of it being 940NM, the standard version is better and cheaper.

2. Nightforce scopes are not good for add on night vision, you would be much better off with the likes of a Hawke Sidewinder or MTC range, the difference in the amount of IR light passed through the glass due to less coatings is VERY noticeable .

3. You bought a Nitesite

My experience with them is that they are good at selling,  but not so hot on the customer support, so box clever.

Hello Main Man,ref one of my posts, more expensive lenses have coating on them that can reduce IR wave lengths getting through that is true in IMO I had a variety of scopes and the one that worked best was a £40 Richer Scope  the lenses were virtually wiped clean of original coatings ,also the more visible to the human IR you filter out the less distance you get,at 950nm you can still see but at a reduced level the dull red glow 840nm gives you the better distance but also a bigger dull red glow.P/S I got on very well with the Night-site Wolf but decided to to thermal because of the dull red glow from the IR IMO its always there.

Hi and thankyou all! im going to get a cheaper scope i think and stay with the eagle, reason is my pal has a wolf and its really good so im hoping with a lesser grade scope i might see a big differnce, just wish i could of done some homework first but thats my fault. shame really because the niteforce i use is well suited for me being a bit ruff and ready. thanks again chris

Well I got 2 unused table clamps and a need for stability.
Cant afford the new style tripods <on furlough pay>,so I thought make your own. So drill n tap m10x1.5 in the base of said bracket .
Cut 2 pieces 7.5x3.5cm steel plate and fix to clamp .Drill hole and fit split pin to stop wind out in turnscrew. Then cut leather patches to fit and bond with contact adhesive, allowing 24 hours  to cure and Bob's your job.
Stable, free and hands free atb

While you were playing with your new rifles I went and got me a 3" hatsan ford escort 12g and to be honest I am quite impressed!
I put 28, 29, 32 and 36 gram loads through it and home loads some of which were subsonic and it cycled the lot! And with no O ring present!
I eventually did put an O ring on it but it was to thick and just would not allow the hammer to strike the firing pin although the action was locked. It's quite a precise fit. I later fitted a smaller section ring and now it fires. The reason for the ring despite perfect function without one is that the barreled action is quite loose without it but with it it all snugs up nice.
The one stock adjuster made it a perfect fit for me too. As autos go it is a pleasant cyclic sensation too, not effecting aiming much at all. It's no lightweight but not ridiculous either.
No pictures as it's just a cheap auto and I have been busy building an arc to survive the floods!!
Now, just got to wait untill September and hope the new world order movement don't get a knee jerk law passed banning duck and goose shooting one day before the season!
Oh yes, no oil in the action at all !
