ryaldinhio 4,125
I enjoyed it but I agree with DS. Cant be that easy. I did find myself thinking what's her job coz she spent all day sitting round with the thing perched in middle of her lounge! Lovely BOP though. Some of the slow-mo shots of the tiny holes between branches and leaves GOS going through unbelievable. Owning and training a bop is still something I want to do one day but definitely don't have enough time at the minute.

She is an author of “H is for hawk” and also a lecturer of English at a top university... To be fair the book is a cracking read, although it has a lot to do with her fathers death and how she grieved - it does tell the story of how she hadn’t trained a Gos for over 10 yrs but fell back in love with it, describes a good chunk of training, fear of losing the bird, hunting and even poaching with the Gos - well worth a read
