timber, black and grey ones i believe

That's a good mix, do these come close to where you live, or do you have to travel.

I saw on a documentary that if there's a healthy population of wolves in an area, that they will wipe out the coyotes.

Did you notice that up where you are.

literally a 10min drive north of me

my hunting stand thats in the forestry has wolves.there are too many in there.

we are not allowed to hunt them in there but can shoot them on the farmland at $50 a tag/license

there isnt enough trappers controlling the numbers and at $50 a tag no one is buying a tag,the wolf numbers will continue

to grow and the demise of the game animals will continue

I'm surprised their not extinct lol.

When they say top price, $610, is that per pelt.

No so good this year, I think that's how I read it.  $750 for a wolf, top price.

The lynx did very good 3,500 I think.

But in reality how hard is it to make a living just doing that, tapping and hunting,

the fur prices will rise as coyote fur really starts to improve as the cold winter kicks in.

not many send their pelts in til after feb

people can make a few thousand dollars if they commit a serious amount of time to trapping.

if i get to shoot a yote(i need two,one for a member here and one to give the trapper for skinning it)

i will take it to a trapper here in town.i will get a few pics of his setup.

just you wait

Wolf tags are usually bought for the off chance that a wolf is encountered on an elk hunt. Targeting them specifically is probably one of the hardest hunts going so the likelihood of filling your tag is low. At 50 a go for a low chance you can see why they’re not bought.
