Plymouth ho's

Recommended Posts

Well I promised the lads dolphins, tuna and sun fish, we took suncream and sunglasses......unfortunately we got wind, puke and a few mackerel!

Unbelievably the weather against tide made it hard work. We smashed a few congers on the first wreck but it was to rough to drift like we planned. Once we got blown off the wreck we tried for a few mackerel to take home but even that was hard work.

Out of curiosity do you/can you, eat Conger?

Yes, it's pretty damn good to be honest too, used to get loads while we were trawling for prawn. Nasty though, knife through the head as they come down the hopper ?

Conger cutlets?used to skin them with my brother when we was kids... Oldman would nail them to a scaffold plank 6"nail through the head and we would pull the skin off.... Used to enjoy eating thornbacks and the rock salmon (dogfish) too?
