The HW 99 is a great choice but you`ll want a decent scope and good mounts which will take you over £300-£350 I`d have thought ?

There is however a very good gun, that "ticks" all of your boxes GW .

Consider a Remington Express, £159-95 including a 4x32 scope and mounts

Has nylon spring guide, lubed correctly, achieves 11.8 ft/lbs and produces 1/4 inch sized groups at 35 yards.

Pellets recommended are AA Fields and Daystate Range Master.

Auto safety, smooth breech lock up, ambidextrous stock, adjustable two stage trigger.

                   Weighs 7.4 lbs.

Hate to disagree with Mark Williams about the Remington Express. At my local range, I've met loads of guys who have bought Expresses and only one who kept it. To a man, they found the trigger awful and so it;s difficult to become consistent. Most of them tried the HW99. All have loved them. £50-£60 for a reasonable scope and Bob's your Uncle.
