I’m going to do Saturday nights at first just get into the swing of things, my brothers got his own electrical company I’m going work in the week till the rails kicks off tidy the company’s around here are crying out for pts boys and OLEC 2 I’m a qualified spark so hopefully get my OLEC 1 and 2 done pretty sharpish

Two of my uncles and loads of the lads from the village work on the overheads as linesmen. It's not easy getting on though. I've been thinking of leaving my job on the books and doing something similar to you tbh. My current job is proper steady Mon-Fri with optional weekends but now regular working away. I could go alone, spend more time working at home but working regular weekends and nights, that's the part i can't stand because i detest nights.

Problem you have mate is you are liable to pay tax in the UK if you spend less than 6 months out of the year, in another country. You can offset it within the EU but you'll need all the paperwork and it's a hassle to do it correctly (well in Spain it is lol).

Have a chat with the tax man AND a citizens advice bureau or Private UK tax specialist ;)

P.S. If you work 5 full years in Norway, you get a full pension ?

Beat me to it shroom , less than 6 months you pay tax
