Putting a first cross over a three quarter also gives you a 3/8 5/8 cross. Some people like them and it's probably a better way to breed them as both parents will have been more tested in theory.

I think Katchums right but not all the pups will have the same percentages in their dna,some will be more whippet than others.

5/8 whippet 3/8 bc. Like already mentioned,breeding is a reverse 3/4 bred to a pure like what Hancock did for some of his 5/8 stuff . Just 1/2 the breeding of both parents then add them together to find the percentage of pups .

I went down this road once with saluki greyhounds, but unless you cross two dogs of the same percentage together each generation is going to be different from the last. you realy cant beat line breading like x like for both ability and appearance .

thats what i understood to be 5 1/8rhs 3 1/8ths didn't know there was another way till now.
