Thats the 30 mount you sent me But iv got the proper spacers for it

so a 25 will fit .

im die,ing to take the Endurance sf off the 97 and fit that to her so i can have a good few shots of her ,

but its the zeroing and rezero, ing them back in thats stopping me

the 97 is set just right as well.

Iv got the airmax 30 sf off the hw100 But when im out this week with the nv if i dont get on with it i can change back to the airmax as i know where it sits and it should still be spot on

But im chomping at the bit to have a play with her Jon lol

Iv left a few marks on her Jon i wanted her to look like an old rifle but new as well if you know what i mean .

A lot of rifles have nice grain in them under the sh*t they put on at the factory

you just have to bring it out .

If you look at that old beeman the first pics i took before i did the stock you would not believe that it would turn out so nice

with loads of grain and gold fleck in her .

Gun looks great Jimmy. It was definitely worth all the hard work. It reminds me when I did a refurb on my fathers 1977 HW35 a few years ago. When I took possession of the rifle It was a bit tatty, so I stripped off the old varnish and wood stain and finished off the job with boiled linseed oil and finishing wax. I didn't do any polishing like you did but I think the finished result Isn't that bad. Here's a couple of photo's of before and after the refurb should you all be Interested.

Atb,

John ?

You have done a cracking job on her John

every one has there own way of doing refurbs

and at the end of the day if it turns out the way they want it then its a job well done .

and i like the way you have done it left some of the old in with the new

In my honest opinion

the hw35 is one of or the best brake barrel rifles out there

its the only one i would have .

Thanks Jimmy. This was the first and only stock refurb I have ever done on a rifle. I am however thinking of doing my CZ .22 Rimfire next, as that has also picked up quite a few digs and scratches over the years,

John just remember to take your time mate

and all will be good .

Its a time thing rush it and you will feck it

then you will be asking me to fix it lol

On other lads rifles i take up to two weeks some times three weeks to do

its all by hand no sanders or the likes .

my own im not to bothered about

and for the stippling use a brass wire brush

not to hard but not to soft ether

plenty of paint stripper on the stippling and softly wire brush it out .

following the lines of the stippling

Oh wow! That silver grip cap looks a lovely touch of detail Jimmy.

Once again, you have transformed a standard factory-presentation rifle into a highly individual and beautiful work of art.

My very best wishes for years of happy ownership and shooting with it my dear pal.

Simon.
