Far too nice to be working today ?

It's been a long ol' week - I've done 6 1/2 days because one of my staff had a bereavement in the family.

I originally had today booked as holiday (I usually always work weekends) but, my boss wanted to come down

 

Anyway, this morning I thought feck it and, put a couple of rifles in the boot.

 

As soon as my boss was done and gone, I gave him 10mins to get on the road, rang him and, told him I'm off early

 

Black Cat is only 4 miles from work

 

I've been meaning to switch over scopes on the Mercury Challenger and Beeman C1 and, since Si very kindly sent the proper sized 13mm mounts, it was the perfect opportunity

Due to my shooting skills with classic springers, rezeroing took a while - I'm still not sure I'm quite there but, I had a cracking couple of hours

 

The club is out in the sticks and, the woods are now in full bloom.

It was also good to see some friends at the club

 

This target was 27yrds away - .22 FAPs from the Beeman on the left and, .177 FAPs from the Mercury on the right.

 

...... The Beeman now has the Hawke Sport 4x32 ao with duplex reticle and, the Mercury has the 3-12x40 Vantage Max half Mildot in Si's mounts

 ....... I just thought they'd go better this way round.

Driving down the lane on the way out, this silly bugger and his mate emerged from the hedgerow and ran along in front of the car - they didn't seem to care that 2 tons of motor was coming up behind them

 

His mate soon took off but, this one was stubborn - he made me wait for him

Now, it's flip flops and cold cider in the sun while the missus is cooking dinner

I need to get out and set the nv up for my son on the s310

but he has the mag for it lol

but i need to set the hw100 scopes up should take about 3,min,s

should i go or just chill in the sun

 ...... I do like shooting that Beeman - it takes a completely different technique. It's almost a controlled snatch on the trigger.

 ...... It forces you to be very definite about what you're doing

 

I've done nothing to it since it arrived - Nice isn't it

He has just dropped the mag off so it looks like im going lol

Well just got back in jon

and what a fecking night first off where i like to zero in is now full of caravans drove in doing about 5mph (loads of kids around )

had a quick scout around then this d*ck head comes over and asks can i help you

no unless you want to carry my rifles for me

he just started about keep your speed down

i told him if i went any slower the tank would stop .

do the land owners know your here this is private property

by this time i was getting pissed off and with out vis here to stop me

i told him to ring the farmer then told him to get out of my way and feck off

just stay there he say,d and got on the phone

to the farmer.

no answer

so i drove off to another part of the farm to scope in .

But could i feck get the hw100 to scope in it was like a scatter gun took the mod off and it did do a bit better

now iv changed back to jsb exacts 4,52

did this when i was at si,s no problem at all three clicks and she was on as normal every time .

But to day ,,,,dont know if it was that c&&&nt that put me off but i changed back to jsb heavys

and what you know three clicks and back on .

i even checked the skirts on the exacts to see if they were damaged in any way

By this time i could not be bothered to scope the nv in on the s310

had a quick wander around loads of kits and loads of kids from the caravans all over the farm so packed up and came home .

I was half expecting the plod to turn up but they did not

so not so good a day for me Jon lol

 ...... Are they gypsies or just people on holiday?

 

With any luck, they'll be gone soon and you can crack on as normal

 

My 100 is the same - it shoots quite a few pellets well but, it loves them JSB Heavies

Put the AA Fields 4.52, 8.4g through her Jimmy, fecking awesome combination for hunting with the 100`s.

               The accuracy/ stopping power, is superb.

at one point i was going to wack him

one of them busy body's that wants every one to like him 

but no one dose lol

I honestly thought some thing was wrong with the rifle she has never been like that jon
