My bull x from years ago 5/8 hound 3/8 bull with a dog fox, he would kill 10+ fox's a night no problem to him...

If he could catch them ??? once seen a hound fly by him like he was standing still ? he was more a terriermans tool then a running dog.

Was a joke 10+ "if he could catch them" ? he had no problem killing was the catching he had a problem with ? was useful for the end of a dig or in around cover had a nack for picking them, but I did one day see a hound fly by him in a open field hahahahaha he was no superstar but was useful in his own way

I took it as a joke buddy how was he bred like I said looks a nice stamp did you ever get ought out of him they all have there uses

He was 5/8 hound 3/8 bull I'd be lieing if I told you the bull blood in him I got him as a older dog, no I never bred him had no use for pups at the time + there was better all-round dogs to breed off, by the end of his working days he was left with only one k9 wasn't as good at pulling in his later days but still got the job done a decent honest dog never jacked or turned him head, but did lack gears and stamina got plenty of sport out of him anyways lot of lads were afraid of him I got him as he attacked a lad trying to take a fox off him and killed another dog I never had such problems with him.

That's going back now about 10/13yr ago I got about 2 seasons outta him when getting him I think I was told he was younger then he rely was ? I seen a decline in him over time would of loved to had him as a young dog, he could turn well for a big dog just lacked going up and down gears.

Was a b*****d for the ditchs would smash them don't know how he didn't brake his neck some the stuff he used to hit, I reamber one night fox hit the ditch he was hot on his tail fox jumped back out and the dog was stuck couldn't get out for a good 20seconds fox ran off laughing to himself I'd say ?

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect

Hi to all, so I've never owned a whippet before and have encountered an irritating habit that got worse in the last month of ferreting and was wondering if anyone out there has had success minimising noise during ferreting?
So he runs prey silently, almost never barks at home so I was very happy going into his first winter, but.... when the ferret slot machine is not paying out fast enough for his liking he yips at the holes he senses are near the underground action. On top of that, if he runs a bolted rabbit to ground again he persistently barks at the hole while constantly looking at me as if to say "get them ferrets over here mate, I've got one for you"
I've a very experienced collie lurcher who is a dream to ferret with but the whippet seems to make no reference to the good stuff he does. Any ideas on managing this?

      Evening all,
I'm lucky enough to have first pick from a friends litter. He’s crossed his Saluki dog with his Collie Bull GH bitch. I’ve only seen videos of the litter as he’s based in UK. Few different characters in the litter, some sit reluctant off in the back ground others play among themselves two are incredibly forward one more than the other.

What key things do you look for when picking a litter? I’ve mostly ran mine on rabbits, reds and some others.

      Go stead,
      oshea
