Will dig my finds box, mostly worthless but interesting. Have posted a few finds on here before under the title dirt fishing. Picture of an old lead stamp with a running dog on it.

If I ask and I'm told no ill stay away.. Just how I am, no point me asking if the reply means nothing

Excellent idea !

I've long pondered about having a go, so I'd be interested in learning a bit about it. There's probably specialist forums, but I'll wager that they're populated by the type of bloke I spend my time avoiding, if you know what I mean  - we've got some smart fellas on here, so I reckon it could be a runner !

My brother was part of a team, they would find out were archeologest would be digging and go at night and clean up.

theres good and bad in every game ,don't matter what we do they is those we trust and those we should never trust.

its good to just be out in the fields and when I go m d I take a dog along for company .

you never know what next find will be ,

Like all other suggestions on here nothing will come of it, this section of gt is a waste of time.

It will go to a narrow win by full referendum, followed by nearly 3 years of negotiation, endless infighting and a lengthy extension before there's a section called "Here treasure, treasure, treasure !"

I once found a gold roman war coin in Norfolk. It was on top of the soil and I found it by eye. I asked the keeper if I could use a metal detector but he said no ?

Never been back..

Probably a hundred such coins just under the surface in the remains of a broken storage pot, yours was brought up by the plough to show you where to search ?

It was on top of the mound the Plough makes. I would not have seen it but the rabbits had eaten litraly acres or peas so this part was bare soil..

Was an ambiani stater if I remember corectly.

I bought a detector with the Intenting of having a go but the keeper said no and no is no.
