think theres just a massive markup on them Phil... the better you get on with them the better the deals! iv had stuff from the local shop loads cheaper than I could find online

Ohhhhh, might be a bit of a problem there then. Perhaps a s/h Vantage AO which you should get in your budget, if you can't find one, let me know as I have a nice one with decent glass that I could do

Exactly, scopes get very personal, reticle, magnification, objective and tube size, IR or not, side/front focus/parallax, etc., etc., and everyones shooting situation, experience and needs are differe

My rfd is a tight bugger so the chance of a healthy discount is low on his list but there again even the big places like Uttings are not that good at scope discounts. The Airmax I bought was from ebay and that is where I have found some decent prices every now and again which is crap as I would by far prefer to give the business to my rfd.

Found these on the bay of plenty to fit on the mag wheel, very handy and much neater than big coaster straps.

BSA Quarry King Scope QK6-24X50AO

Raptar honest mate you need to look through some scopes mate

its no good just looking at pics and write ups on them

then finding out when you get them there no good

and i mean no good as in the glass is know good for your eyes mate

Even if you just look on the pretense of buying one then going back home and finding it cheaper

than the rfd,s ,

at least then you know what suits your eye .

this is why I was asking, I have some cheap 6-24x50 scope that I can see really well through, I also have a hawke 3-9x50 sport HD witch are ok but have no mil dot and the target looks a bit small at around 30m, and I have a 4-12x42 witch I think are f****d but I can see ok with.

so I was just looking for some help to find a scope that I can use that doesn't cost more that my car.

So how much have you put aside for a scope that might help us to help you
