Of course, if you don't view,shop on line ,research shooting gear by video or indeed sites having video then there is no problem! From what I've managed to glean, 'activists' are flagging individual videos and channels, and also contacting advertisers to complain about the content of the videos their ads appear in. Once the complaints reach a certain level, YouTube issues a 'strike' - 3 strikes and you're out ! Advertisers, concerned about their income, pull their ads. What I can't work out is why airguns are being targeted - maybe there's a high hunting content, so they're ripe for being flagged as 'graphic' ? But make no mistake, it's a concerted effort, from two angles, to turn shooters into pariahs ! Birmingham City council wants to change the name of the historic Gun Quarter, because the word 'gun' is slowly by surely being usurped into meaning 'violent crime'. The 2022 Commonwealth games will have no shooting events - NONE - because, it's claimed, a suitable venue cannot be found..................err, Bisley maybe ? We already have airgun licensing in Scotland, and it's only a matter of time before it's introduced in England, IMO. Events in America only cement in the public's mind that guns are bad, guns are evil - despite the fact that most of Joe Public wouldn't know the difference between an AR15 and a starting pistol ! The long term future does not look rosy for us, I'm sorry to say. And anyone who says "it's only airguns, who cares ?".............I'll misquote the Manic Street Preachers - if you tolerate this, YOUR guns will be next !
