Hi all never really used night vision only once or twice, so I'm just seeing what your lots opinions are about the best sort of night vision but not rediculously expensive, I know you pay for what you get but I tend to cope well enough without it, I just need something as back as we do come across the odd lamp shy fox

+1  I've been using a Photon with NM800 for a year or so, and the distances you can see animals is insane, miles beyond maximum CF distances. 

Problem is, the IR can spook foxes,  even when it's turned down to minimum. 

Thermal is the way to go for spotting, without a shadow of a doubt.  It's justifying the cost that's the problem.

I'm definately going to buy a thermal rifle scope soon, with QR Mounts,  so I can also use it as a spotter. For me this is the way to go.
