Well another one put to bed lads made a brace for it and should last Mark until he finds a new stock for her it a shame really as it has some nice grain in it and it shoots good as well

Just an up date mate on the rifle stripped the bluing back just ready for polishing then the bluing can go on stripped the lacquer off the stock now as well few deep marks on

Right Mark iv had to pin the stock in three places as you will see in the pics there was no where to pin it from the inside due to the angle of the split it was ether this way or a new stock

All back together now and fitted up with scopes

im going to test fire it tomorrow but iv had a few shots of it yesterday with out the stock fitted and it shoots sweet

When i got this off Mark it was missing the screw on the right side of the rifle ?

so when i fitted it back together i found that it had a split in the front of the stock as well as the pistol grip

this can only be seen when a screw is fitted into the stock on the right side

with the screw fitted it widens when you cock it

with the screw taken out it dose not widen in fact you cant see it at all even when you cock it

NOW I KNOW WHY IT WAS MISSING THE SCREW LOL

iv put a lot of work into this rifle for mark

and i may have come up with a solution

I need some of them old side stock brace that you used to find on the old rifles for the gun belts

and i may be able to brace it .

It must of been a barrel flip up that split the stock in the first place like i thought it was with the split in the pistol grip

now i know it was ,

I checked the barrel when i got it off Mark the night i got home from his and it was as strait as a die

even when i sanded the stock back i could not see the split in the front .

Mind its a looker lol well smart

but ill get it sorted
