32 meter springpiston groups

Recommended Posts

Went out today to re-zero my most accurate spinger.

Was shot in a barn. The farmer said it was 32 meters (about 35yards).

Shot it prone. Hand on a filled ricebag. Rifle's foreend rested in my palm.

Body in a triangle position, 3 shots per circle. HNN ftt 5.53 resized to 5.52.

Not bad concidering having the flue.

Needless to say the rifle has some internal work done to it

Will never sell this one. Even if offered 10000 euros

Absolute porno 97 that.

Use FTT's myself in mine. .53 - Nothing better.

I reseize them. Dont know if it really helps, the .53's already shoot great.

-guess its just for the pease of mind.

Im thinking of giving the 97kt the same treatment, but I get tired only thinking of the work involved. The 97kt has a frontpost and an anschutz 54 match diopter fitted. The 97kt is 177, the 97k is 22. Both have selected barrels. At short ranges they are both as accurate. But at 50 meters the .22 97k is wayyyyyyyyyyy more accurate than the 97kt and the tx. Its thumbnail groups at 50 meters.

Ill ask my wife if she can send me some pictures of groupings the 97k shoots at 50 meters.

These are the pictures of her cards at the 50 meter range.

The cards are either 3 or 5 shots. Card 18137 was an 8 shot card. 1st 4 shots in one hole..... she buggered the last 4 shots

There is one card were she shot a one hole group.

The cards used are official 10m offhand cards.

Mind you.... she didnt put the crosshairs in the middle of the bullseye..... she used 3 midots holdover. She's too lazy to fettle with the scope.

At 12x scopepower, the target is virtually hidden behind the milldot. I recon if she'd adjust the scope accordingly, groupings will get better.
