RIP Mr magpie and Mr crow.

Recommended Posts

A friend put me on to some proper 1/2oz  .410 loads with some thrutch behind them and I was eager to try them.

Feeling very much like my reloads I am very impressed with them.

NSI is the make.

I called a crow in and a magpie, always a pleasure!

Then a brace of roosting woodies.

The little 410 never ceases to amaze me.

Recently purchased a 410 myself. What sort of range are you looking at as a max and whats your experience with choke on 410s?

Bit if fun with my terrier...

Grand photo and a great shot, well done you. Looks a nice gun.

25yards or so for me. Sometimes 30yds.

Chokes, I prefer about half choke and #7 shot. Most only stock #6 cartridges though. My fave load is 1/2oz loads.

I have similar conclusions. I think this one has half choke and when I patterned it would really consider 25 yards max but equally it throws a good pattern. I've had a Mossberg pump before which had full choke but that didn't pattern we'll, I got rid in the end as it had extractor problems which the gunsmith wasn't interested in.
