HW 100 KS stock,- which oil should i apply lads ?

Which oil, if any, should be applied to a stock like this lads, please ?

I use Wilko's teak oil, mainly because I have it for my outdoor furniture but also because it is only £5 per litre.

I use this its tung oil

put a good coat on first let it stand for an hour

then wipe off  and buff then let it stand until morning then buff and she is ready to go lasts for months

I will second Jimmy on that.....only because its what he told me to do with my 100 Mark. The grain will leap out of it pal👍👍👍👍👍

Mark dont forget to 0000 wire wool the stock over first what ever oil you use

If you want a full job done on it pm me and ill tell you what to do

This had something on it.

 ....... Feck knows what though because it was already done when I bought it.

 

I know that doesn't help much but, as everyone else is showing off sexy stocks ........ :p :thumbs:

Ok, to try to be a bit more helpful - this TX was already fairly dark but, a few coats of Phillips English Walnut Preparation oil darkened it slightly.

It's the stuff that you rub in with your hands and allow the friction to warm it up.

It makes your rifle smell nice for ever :yes:

 

I've used that and Danish oil - both are good.

I've never used Tung oil but, I do like the results in Jimmys pictures :yes:
