My lamp packed up last night. I might have imagined it but I thought the handle was getting warm before it went. :hmm: Maybe it was, or maybe it's just my hand was cold, not sure.

I've checked the simple things. It's not the bulb and it's not the fuse and the wiring seems to be intact.

I'd guess it's the wiring or the switch. Is it new lamp time or can it be fixed fairly easily (by the non-technically minded.) ?

Is it the old cigar plug type. The wires can break inside the coating about 1 inch below where it goes into handle. This won't be visible but it is a stress point with continuous lamping and will feel weak when you wiggle it. Cut it off if it is and rejoin with 2 small electrical connectors and tape it up. If lamping from vehicle the same thing can happen at the point it enters cigar plug so cut off the last few inches and rewire cigar plug.
