Im still waiting on the stock coming back to me cut in two so i can shape them to fit the ASI

 

so set about tidying up the frame and screws and sites plus the pistol grip

 

painted the frame and bits and bobs

 

stripped the old paint off the grip

 

just got to do the bluing and stock now ,,,took her apart and greased every thing up piston looked ok and she dose shoot sweet with just a nudge in the shoulder so put it all back together .

 

Now this one is going to SI BROWNS SON as a xmas present

 

would of liked to have had it done for tomorrow as Si is coming up to mine as we are going shooting and would of loved to have given it to him to take away .

Right spring ,,right trigger,,wrong piston lol

 

but its all together now Mark and shooting fine

 

needs new breach seal and the piston sorted out

 

right next its a full strip and

Well done the bluing ,,not the best mind but its ok

 

Si has just left and is taking it down with him the way it is

 

just means iv got to go to his to shape the wood stock peaces for it

 

What a shame eh ,,,,a little bit of stock refurbishment ...some shooting,,,beer i suppose i could put up with that

 

had a cracking night out shooting with him last night

Is that the old super meteor rather than just Meteor Jimmy ? ( cheek piece and rubber butt pad )

 

Did it also boast 50 ft/sec more in .22 ? Different spring - etc.

Mk4 mark and its all ready gone

 

gave it to my mate the rfd ...John ,,at sports and leisure

 

he has all the parts and the machines to do this rifle justice

 

that and the fact he loves to rebuild these old rifles

 

and as he looks after me from time to time i thought why not

 

i also got the front site and rear site off him for the hawk

 

so im a happy man lol

Well it looks like I’ve given you many hours of fun mate atvb Mark ps took blade back out Saturday night just me and him it was a cann’y poor lad in that strong wind only managed a measly 67 and two big runners and a poor little partridge haaaaaayou and si need to come soon before he kills them all lol no photos I’m afraid left my phone near the car drops it out my pocket
