Decoying Wood Pigeon With The Fwb Sport& Hw 100 Kt

Recommended Posts

You guessed it lads, I took both the FWB Sport 127 (.22) and the HW 100 kt .177.

I started about 10 am with the FWB Sport and by 12 pm I`d shot around 14 or 15 pigeon.

Then I thought to swap over to the 100 as presentations were warming up and the mag` and reload of the 100 would be "far superior" over the old fashioned reload.

My best mate, Kaiser and myself had a great day out shooting.

Wood Pigeon retrieved --- 61, lost to fly and fold -- 9

Magtrick - 3 bandits shot one after the other. ( HW 100 mag` in action) :good:

Pair of crows - 2 crows shot one after the other, ( HW 100 mag` in action) :good:

Here`s the hide view.

Well shot Mark and a perfect situation when the airgun fits in better than the shotgun.

I still prefer to take them on the wing but that is just me.

Phil

Thank you Phil.

Now don`t shout at me :sorry: - for this !

Far more skill, field craft, finesse, good looks, patience, know how, marksmanship, bestest after shave, trigger squeeze, training, practice etc, etc, etc with a sub 12 ft/lbs air rifle than a BOOM! BOOM ! Blow the countryside up - " BOOOOM" ! " Field craft less " blunder buss ! :icon_eek::nono:

On the wing ? :hunter: " BOOOOOM" ! :icon_redface::bad:

" only saying like " x

and just pulling legs, :tongue2:

Nice going mate and the folk in those houses would be none the wiser

Exactly One ! :good:

People have taken the huff when I`ve said an air rifle trumps a shot gun on many occasions,- here`s one of them.

atb Mark

That was my thought when I saw the pictures - the perfect tools for that job

..... Cracking result Mark :good:

Would you even be allowed to take them on the wing with a shotgun there?

Good to see Kaiser working again

..... It got me wondering - has he ever retrieved a decoy?

When I shoot the paper targets I leave a floppy decoy under the boards.

When the target is used up I send him in for the retrieve,- he loves this.

The reason I train this is because out of so many shots decoying you will get a runner and he`s always on full alert if I give him the call,- " Get him lad !"

One peep on my whistle stops him dead in his tracks.

Two peeps gives instant re call.
