Why is it that people who are obviously not accustomed to physical exercise decide that the best time to go for a run or a bike ride is on a day in July without a breath of wind when the Sun is beating down ?

 

Why is it that people with dogs that are obviously not accustomed to physical exercise decide the best time to take them on a long walk and throw balls for them is a day in July without a breath of wind when the Sun is beating down ?

 

Why do grown men feel no shame when using a mechanical aide to launch a ball for a fat Labrador, stating to his family and the rest of the world that he throws like a girl ?

 

Why, in a nation of supposed animal lovers, do people not take friendly advice in the vein that it was intended regarding their dogs being "over worked" on a day in July without a breath of wind when the Sun is beating down ?

 

Why are they here ? Roll on bad weather !

Begs the question why would you go watch the tourists, on a day in July without a breath of wind, while the suns beating down? :hmm:

why does the english language have so many names for collective nouns for birds that all mean a group of

a murder of crows

a hover of crows

a parliament of crows

a storytelling of crows

a muster of crows

a parcel of crows

a horde of crows

a gulp of magpies

a tittering of magpies a tidings of magpies a mischief of magpies a conventicle of magpies to name but a few

Is it not a parliament of owls and a horde of magpies ?

 

What about a flock of seagulls ? ("If I had a photograph of you.....something to remind me")

you do also get a parliament of owls as well as a study of owls a stare of owls a wisdom of owls
