And leopards have evolved into 16 subspecies to live in pretty much every climate and environment the world has to offer, just look how many were living in the middle of Mumbai totally un noticed same in  South Africa, ??

Nobody is saying that though pal, of course this country could house a Leopard in theory.

The thing is they have documented, filmed and studied the rarest big cat in the world the Amur Leopard where there's thought to be less than 50 surviving in the wild, why hasn't the same been done over here with these breeding populations?

Like Sandy posted before you would expect to see quite a few roadkills but again none, do you seriously believe there's this master plan to keep a secrecy on them?

We are going round in circles mate, I have met people involved in the filming of some of these species and the time, money and work put in by the locals before the film crews turn up is amazing, there is a film of a jaguar taking turtles on a beach at night, the guy that took it had a month and 20k to get it plus the cat had came every year previously to take the hatchlings on the same month, he finally got the footage on the last night ? and the snow leopards had been trapped and tracked for more than a year by local goat herders before they even began filming, I,ve said before if anyone is willing to put in the money I will take them out and get the footage I just don’t have the time or money myself as I still have a house a boat 2cars and a van to run as well as three kids, two grand kids that constantly need something, and yes I do believe the authority,s don’t want it known about, as it would lead to a lot of compo and hysteria ✌️

I watched that jaguar and the turtles about a year ago I think.

Your last few sentences G, re authorities, hysteria, spot on ?

I’d like this thread to continue, I have a genuine interest. I’ve not seen a big cat myself. But know  or have spoken to credible individuals who honestly believe they have seen one .
As a countryman , professional gamekeeper and someone who spends all my time outside in the fields and woods . I’ve not seen one , but there are a lot of sightings in my area . I know what I believe, but would love to be proven wrong .

For someone who thinks its all absolute nonsense you certainly have some passion for the subject mate.

If i didnt know better id say you have more of a bee in your bonnet for Greyman than the topic itself ?

A couple of pages back he was asking his fire arms officer what the laws are regarding shooting one which is quite strange when they don’t exist ?? I think he wants me to take him out but don’t no how to ask, so like a kid with a crush he trips the girl over he fancy’s to get noticed instead of just asking her out, it’s a shame as I no some good areas in Wiltshire I could have set him up on  and he could have done some of his own research, then told me next year I was a prick if he never found anything ?

I'm under the impression that Greyman has mentioned a scientific study of kill sites with genetic interpretation, the publication of sound scientific evidence of a viable wild population of big cates living in the UK would be world news in both scientific and main stream circles bringing a myriad of interest. A study of its significance would bring those involved a lot of kudus and open doors too many opportunities for further study, funding etc. Of course the “Study” would be published in  a top drawer, high impact scientific Journal,, having undergone peer review etc. Now this would be something many members of the forum would be very interested to read. I’ve checked all the databases but I can’t seem to find a relevant study, perhaps greyman can let us know where it’s published?

Why so defensive?

Why is asking for information derailing the thread?  if you don't know the answer just say so. I've a specialisation in a specific area but still daily find questions I don't know the answer to but rather than insult people I go and find out, as much for myself as anybody else, and I'd expected with your interest and time spent on the subject you'd have read the research to aid in your pastime. It appears anyone who asks questions rather than agreeing or holds a counter view to yourself is not valid but if you make a statement, ie the big cats being a national secret for 50 years, kept by police, road crews, vets, disposal staff etc for no apparent reason then you must except to be questioned on it, that's just life, just answer honestly rather than refuse to answer and throw insults.

Basically if you have nothing to hide just answer rather than avoiding, or making odd statements such as me and Pumas or hiding behind insults.

Right ,so from now on we roll over and just let shit happen do we Sean or do we say whenever we see something that dosnt fit well with oneself .

Your the first to jump in and say your piece whenever you see something amis  .I ain’t no different .

Hopefully we will see some EVIDENCE that will change the doubters forever or the thread will be the laughing stock it is thus far .

Is it too much to ask for one clear pic or a nice vid ,conclusive evidence of cat kills and spoor to back up what is apparently so common as to guestimate 500 breeding large cats here .Until we see these  things Sean then I’m afraid I and others will be on the case and rightly so .

It won’t degenerate again from my input as I’ve been warned about name calling ,squealed on by the same lads shouting about me squealing lol ,good one .
Grown up debate from here on in hopefully reciprocated .

All I'm saying is chill out?...

Everyone is entitled to voice their opinions... But the same repetative, and little sly, underhanded comments are f***ing cringe worthy pal?

I look at it like this.... If I have some experience of a topic, then I will add my input, helpful or not?

If I have no interest in a topic, like football and shooting.... Then I just scroll down ...

If I think someone is talking shit or taking the piss... Then I like many others will say something....But I wouldn't go out of my way mind, page after page of insults looking for a reaction ?like you have, it seems almost personal to me?.... The 'hard on' that you have for Greyman and the interest he gets in this thread??? Who knows what goes on in the inner workings of a man's brain??? I'm no f***ing head doctor ?But from where I'm sitting, looking in on this, it's coming across as extremely pathetic and childish... That's all I meant by my comment, no hard feelings Tim?

When there is some concrete evidence... Proven beyond.... Then I'm sure you will be one of the first to be informed ??

I`m not going to trawl through this as I have my own opinion on the subject but think of this, if you think there is a vast conspiracy  to cover up large cats being loose the why was there such an uproar over a lynx escaping Borth zoo and the option chosen  by the police and local authorities was death.
