I know about Big Cats mate I'm just confused with the sightings as nobody can make their mind up wether they've seen a Cougar or a Leopard.

Well 75 percent made up there mind it was black probably leopard and 15 percent a sandy brown cat probably a puma, not really confusing, this is pretty constant year on year from all over the country and quite often the two are seen in the same area which obviously does,nt happen anywere else

It is confusing because now we are to believe a Cougar and a Panther are sharing the same territory and living in harmony.

Rubbish, there's a debate wether the cross has actually been made. From what i can recall all we have of the mating is a stuffed animal from years back. There's no Leopard/Cougar hybrids anywhere as far as i know.

I think if we had lot's of leopards and cougars out there, we would have a lot of dead sheep. Not saying its all bollox. Just that "if they are out there" we aint talking leopard size. 

That probably kills it for most who are interested in the whole thing, but common sense points more towards smaller species, or interbreeding with moggy's.

They are different animals in different places all be it about 15 years ago, some distance between the two cats. At this time there were a lot of sightings at Sparkwell (Dartmoor Zoo) it was reported keepers used to see big cats on the out side of the wire. A mate of mine saw one at Wrangaton not far from the zoo the police helicopter  took a pretty convincing thermal video at Wrangaton after more sightings. A farmer where I fish on the Salcombe estuary used to see the tan coloured one  and my fishing and ferreting mate and his daughter saw one laid in the road a mile from his farm. Three sighting on a farm at Moreleigh were the black one, then may be this cat seemed to travel over towards Torbay as there were sightings all around the bay. Which I remember as thinking strange why such a built up area , but of course there is Paignton Zoo I don't know how far cats can pick up scent. What I do know is all my friends that have seen them I would class as good country men and I 100% believe them, even though I have never seen one my self.

If its leopards how haven't we had a case of a man-eater in the UK?Man eating leopards in Africa and india,lots of cases,and in both india and Africa urban leopards are far from uncommon so why don't we have urban leopards in the UK?

Black and white picture is a pumard guess the parents, dead sheep I get plenty, badgers seem to becoming more popular as food  and I,m finding signs right upto the outskirts of the city, the witnesses we went to see last week were on the outskirts of large urban housing sites, the landscapes and terrains are exactly the same here as abroad, and eventually Mac we will have a human killed when populations get bigger, we are now almost back to the beginning and most of the questions have been answered already so the least you can all do is read it, here's a few pics for you to pull apart, enjoy

Not pulling anything apart mate,just asking pertinent questions,i have spoken to people recently last week actually,who live in Mumbai and have seen urban leopards,just wondered why they haven't been spotted in UK cities as we are a tiny country in comparison to india.

It's supposedly a Puma/Leopard hybrid but none have been genetically confirmed.
