Yep they can do what the f**k they want.. but Weather tommy is right or not shit follows him... he was making out he was with a army unit or something. Actually they cant do “what the f**k they want”, my understanding is serving members of the British armed forces are allowed to be members of political parties and organisations but cannot take an active role in marches or demonstrations. As Tommy Robinson is not a member of a political party and there was no march or demonstration there was no wrong doing.

TR set the EDL up after serving British Soldiers were abused and spat on when they marched through Luton as our police sat back and watched, has countered rallied against Islamic extremist who were burning the poppy, has supported help for heroes, lobbied for a memorial for the fallen soldier Lee Rigby and has close links with veterans against terrorism, whilst our government make cut backs and treat the armed forces as cannon fodder in wars we have no need to be a part of it is no surprise these lads wanted a selfie taken with him.

I do agree that I hope these lads don't suffer but from what Ive read and the videos on youtube they approached TR and requested selfies, group pictures etc this was a off the cuff incident and not staged in any way.

Tommy Robinson recently stopped at a service station where four coaches full of British soldiers were taking a break. He said hello to the lads and some of them posed for “selfies” with Tommy. 

Tommy called it an honour to stand with British troops and shake their hands, even just for a few moments. 

But when the Muslim Council of the UK heard about this, they immediately demanded that the Army punish these soldiers — and to their shame, the Army did.

These lads had their cell phones seized and inspected for “illegal” photos of Tommy. And the Armed Forces’ official Islamic advisor, Asim Hafiz, condemned these men — before the investigation was even complete — telling reporters that "any form of racism, discrimination or extremism is taken extremely seriously and will be dealt with accordingly".

What racism? What discrimination?

It was just a photo. These are proud British soldiers.

And now there are unconfirmed reports that at least one of these lads has been summarily discharged from the Army — just for standing next to Tommy and smiling.

That’s outrageous. That cannot stand.

These lads are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. The least we can do is stand up for their freedom, too.

Please sign this petition to Chief of the Defence Staff, Gen. Sir Nick Carter, telling him to call off his dogs!

I doubt it. He's had two recent displays of not understanding the consequences of his actions that have landed him in legal trouble. Whether he knew that these lads would get into bother is debatable and I still err on the side of not. He's certainly attempting to capitalise on the publicity to further his message. A simple "Careful lads. This might get you in the sh*t" would have sufficed as he must have some idea that he's a lightning rod for controversy but he's never been one to miss a publicity opportunity has he?
