Over the last five decades,...I have owned most hybrids,...and walked out with many different types belonging to my fellow hunters,... Truth is, I have loved them all,...some better than others obvio

Yes, I really like them.... Wish I had access to such a phenomenal tool,.. back in the late 1970s/80s....

I dont realy have a fave but the collie bull grays and saluki bull grey or a 3/4 grey 1/4 bull seems to stand out for me   My collie bull gtey has become quite a handy dog on fur and feather

Deer/grey x collie/grey. Or collie/grey x whip/grey. Or grey/collie/grey. Or a combination of said types

like your choices mate good xs

As with everything fieldsport orientated though, you'll probably get about 20 different answers for more or less the same activity lol. I think it really just boils down to the type you fancy at the end of the day.

Saluki x's, brain dead. Collie x's, no drive. Beddy x's, too headstrong,.......... piffle! If you like a type enough, you'll make a pretty good dog out of it, regardless of how it's bred. I'm talking general sort of work mind, not specialist tasks

I'd always kept beddy crose and still have one here now, but when my last bitch died lamping didn't want to try to compete with her so got a saluki collie grey, and honestly can't fault her, so that would be my choice

run all sorts off different lurchers over a good few years,my own and good mates dogs, when i used to do alot of daytime work always worked beddyxs with whippet or grejyhound in them, now as im getting older and where i live these last few years i have gone back to my first true love in lurchers the deerhoundx greyhound hybrids, not every bodys cup of tea,but this type of lurcher really helped me out when times were hard,so its definetly the deerhoundx for me, closely followed the beddy x, every body has there favourite type of lurcher, but if it suits your life style ,what you hunt, and type of land you run on, then atb.

I've got a bitch here 4 years old similar bred to how you say above. Deer/grey/Collie/grey x deer/whip/grey. Only 24" but made a nice bitch. Took a very long time to mature but got there in the end and she's very useful to have about now.

Never actually seen one work know a couple of good lads that run them and a good mate of mine who knows his stuff told me once his dad had one back when my mate was a little lad and he said that dog killed everything from rabbit to fallow, killed foxes in the numbers, she was finished when she was 7 years old ran into a tree whilst running a roe, I wouldn't mind trying one but as it stands I'm happy with a good bull cross
