roybo 2,873
How far is technology away from been able to put a variable power dimmer switch on LED lamps?it's already here I have a torch with variable brightness That's the k50 we had if I remember right did it go down in stages not like the ones on halogen lamps yes mate but it varies the amount of brightness you get from bright to dim ,you might call it a dimmer Quote Link to post
jacklee91 16
Right for lamp with all bells and whistles battery's in hand with a nights lamping what would you think is a fare price. 90 quid be a fare price, dont mind all the other tight fisted cxnts, that lot would rather peel a orange in there pocket, rather than offer you any 1 Quote Link to post

leegreen 2,173
if you had the option of two say one to compete with the blitz and one to compete with the 170 which you already have plus being cordless with a reliable dimmer I think you'd be onto a winner and as been said with the added option of a filter, maybe a stupid question but can you get an led with the halogen colour ? I can't get on with the led or hid beam as well as the halogen that's just my eyes tho, so come on ya lazy b*****d get a move on season will be hear before we know it lol You can get led's with 5 or more shades of white, natural white has a yellow tinge something like a halogen. Led's come in loads of colours, would be the boll@cks if you could change the led's or even have all the colours in the lamp! The price is going up lads All the colours; red, green, orange? leegreen 2,173
£50-60 thats the sort of price i was thinking, £50-70 is good money for a lamp if it lasts and is what you want, then its a small price to pay. perhaps a couple of quid more even. it would be interesting to see what price d Lloyd can come up with just to see how much we are getting ripped of by deben and lightforce. If it had all the trimmings, I'd be happy to pay £70 and more for a decent warranty and for it to be serviceable. The dimmer on that Led Lenser is well usable for lamping. 1 Quote Link to post

bryson 562
Problem is with rechargeable handheld's is the weight. I say keep the power pack separate and have a light weight lamp in your hand. Definatly keep the power pack seperate you can just focus more on the actual lamp instead of over complicating things Quote Link to post

jeemes 4,484
I think a all in one is a bit top heavy. As regards price I wouldnt expect it to be cheap. Dont be tempted to cut corners for the sake of a few quid. Ive heard lads moaning about the price of a bit of good kit whilst theyre standing there with a fag in one hand and a pint in the other. Real hunting blokes like good quality kit that does a good job and they dont mind paying the price because they are out that often it pays them back in buckets. I wish you good luck mate, and if you produce something worth having and something I dont have to start re soldering as soon as I get it like that Deben crap then I will be glad to buy one. 4 Quote Link to post

FERRETBOY 680
D lloyd i really enjoyed using the 150 last season but me and nottzhunter hammered ours over the season . We caught over 1500 rabbits last season but both lamps had lost there lenses and the beam went square towards the end of the season. So a tougher lamp that doesnt go square because i will need to replace the old one this season and £45 gets exspensive if i have to do that every year. I didnt have a problem with the power, we managed to catch 141 rabbits with two 150 lamps but a longer beam would be an improvement. Quote Link to post
