Walking And Camping

I'm looking at going walking and wild camping with the dogs first week in may, was wondering if anyone has done this before and might be a long shot but any recommendations of where to go, many thanks.

You need to check with the national trust Scott land as a load of places have been put out of bounds for wild camping .......

Been looking at the coast to coast definatly something I would like to do. Is wild camping pretty relaxed in the lakes?

You can only legally wild camp in Scotland and Dartmoor mate ......

Sitting around the campfire cooking some nice meat.

And the kids burning some marshmallows.

Can't fault it at all.

Probably the best thing you can do with the kids in my eyes.

Living the dream lol.

Got a nice little woods on perm that we will have a few nights in this summer can't wait.

My kids have been on loads of foreign holidays ,but it's the camping they remember the most , would be Scotland for me lots of places ,west coast?

Depends on how far you are willing to travel. Plenty of places to go. If it's just you and the dogs then that makes life easier. If you are taking the kids then you will need to stick to recognised areas as mentioned above. I've wild camped all over. If you are up at first light, leave everything as you found it and gone then nobody really bothers you. I will be getting out on Dartmoor a lot over the summer. ATB with your adventure.

Going to attempt it this year myself kids are 7 An 12 now big enough to walk along without eyes being glued on them. Will get looking. For a few wee fishing spots

There's not many places up here you can't camp walk and fish mate some cracking spots up here were u won't see a soul and there's places u won't get a tent up for folk..... If you want peace stay away from the big lochs at the weekend.... Just get yer dog n tent n crack on mate....

jump on the stranrar boat n your on the antrim coast in two hours,camp werever you like.plenty for dogs,and fishing.
