I didn’t say you were man everything on here is always so polarised. Just like the alternative to liking trump isn’t the love of a communist distopia.

I just find it fairly wrong  got a government to take that level of individual choice away from a human being. And it’s not like we are short on people.

For the purposes of conversation and debate, you said “I thought you were quiet a sane chap” implying that I’m insane to think that killing 46 million human beings every single year isn’t a very good thing and should at least be curtailed if not stopped altogether.

I actually think that’s a pretty Reasonable thing to think.

And to be fair, it highlights perfectly my thinking about how the likes of Trump get into the whitehouse.

Now, I’m sure you wasn’t being nasty but the fact is blokes like me get called names all the time for saying and believing pretty reasonable things.......and we have had a gut full and we go out and we vote for the only bloke saying “you should have a voice, you ain’t mad” 

Not saying I was ever in a position to vote for Trump but I’m sure you get my meaning.

Same for race, gender, filth being taught to kids......we say “Hold on!” and a whole host of people fall upon us like wolves screaming racist, homophobe, bigot, backwards when all we are saying is “This isn’t working or this is wrong in any sane sense of the word” 

That mate, is how Trump becomes POTUS

I do very much get your point mate. I just find it all rather odd how we are always meant to be one or other of something. I have lots of thoughts that are both right and left wing and normal and off the wall, conformist and non conformist etc. Life is a bit of a jumble.

The reason I said I thought you were sane was just being tongue and cheek, but really I do find it odd when people have a very definite belief on something which they can never really experience themselves and also something which is massivly complex. To ‘ban’ abortion, to make it an illegal act of someone doesn’t wish to have a baby with another person or wish to bring that kid into a world where they can’t look after it, especially in America which had a massive issue with poverty, unemployment, lack of health care and crime etc. And to do it because it’s bad to kill a person. That just seems a very simplistic way to look at the world. Especially in a world where governments kill lots of folk in lots of ways in lots of places. 
 

I don’t like a government telling me I can’t batter a fox, so a government telling someone they HAVE to bring a child into the world. No thanks. Let’s worry about looking after the kids who are already here first?

And there is the truth, it’s always somewhere in between but as a society we have killed debate and just fine for the “let’s throw shit” approach

I’m not a yid either so does that exclude me from thinking the Holocaust was wrong ? 
Id say there is a debate to be had to allow something that’s such a big deal (taking a human life) in very strict circumstances but we don’t have that at the moment, it’s wholesale slaughter for any reason and I do take a fairly firm position that it is wrong.

I think it’s wrong that big corporations are writing policy with chequebooks while people starve and die because of lack of healthcare, that’s not right either.

I think it’s wrong that laws are made to stop me saying something is wrong.

I think it’s perverse that you can kill a child or indeed a whole city in some far away place but you can’t kill a fox.

I think it’s wrong to force races together unnaturally when it’s obviously a disaster in our towns and cities but I can’t say that out loud.

The truth is probably somewhere between lads like me and you but the debate is dead, who killed it is also up for debate but it’s the reason Trump is in the whitehouse......there are millions of blokes like me who are done trying to talk.
