Presidents don't dictate economies in America. Supply and demand does. America's mixed economy has a degree of government intervention but not to the point where the government controls it, like Cuba, North Korea, and the former Soviet Union.

The economy improved under Trump, without doubt, but he didn't control it, and isn't responsible for the boom or the recent bust.

EDIT: Since the 2009 recession where US unemployment was at nearly 10% the US economy has grown around 2.5% per year. 8 years of the Obama administration and 4 years of the Trump administration.

In your opinion how did he improve the economy? How about when it tanked at the start of the pandemic? He's responsible for neither.

Pretty much. He's reversed Don's executive orders on the travel ban from predominantly muslim countries. Reversed his ban on diversity training, and his 1776 Commission. He's reversed the directive to collect citizenship information on the US Census. He's ordered a review of immigration policies and enforcement and enacted a 100 day moratorium on certain deportations. That doesn't include criminals, terror threats etc. He's reversed the remain in Mexico policy for asylum seekers. He's issued a memorandum to Homeland Security to preserve and fortify DACA.

He's invoking the Defense Production Act to ramp up testing and vaccine supplies to tackle Covid. The goal is to vaccinate 100 million Americans in 100 days.

He's re-designated the ban on the Keystone pipeline.

That's all I know so far although everything he stated in his campaign promises is still on the table to my knowledge. Expect regulation of the tech companies. His proposed legislation for gun control would be broad, and extremely restrictive.

As we said in at the beginning of this thread. The executive order isn't a magic wand and he doesn't have supreme power to push through his agenda. Congress and the Senate are still tightly contested and his wish list, remains so, without the legal due process. None of this is a done deal and I'm sure there will be watered down versions to come.

Biden will continue the attack on civil liberties, as did Trump before him, Obama before that, and Bush... you get the idea.

 It's true that the President gets to lay claim to a robust economy. But that was due to the hard work of the administration before him. So we'll just put that aside. President Trump while doing a few interesting things. Proved to be unable to lead during the pandemic. It took his robust economy away and that was pretty much that. Remember, when he was running for President the GOP did everything in their power to derail him. In the end they had lost touch with their own members and Trump cleared the stage of their best and brightest.

Trump struck a chord with a lot of people who clearly don't respect our political system. The fact that many stormed our capital shows how dangerously unstable so many of them are.
