Always sorry to hear when an "old warrior" has gone but she's left her mark carrying on the line, the youngsters just need time and work to step into those "big footprints" she's left behind, I know how much you've put into breeding the best terriers you can and its clear by the lads on here's response that you are respected for that, "good luck" with your youngsters in the future, I think each time we lose a good one they take a little piece of us with them but its chin up and carry on,R.I.P Blade, WM

p.s. at least you don't need them blood tests now......

Before i begin this ,the bitch Blade has been pts .RIP old girl ,what good times we had .

Turn of events .

Phoned the vet on another matter and receptionist tells me they've had more definitive blood test results back and it definitely is NOT lepto .Spoke to vet on phone and was told it all points to cancer of the liver which explains why the sudden weight loss and loss of appetite and the massive bloated abdomen .

Usually sort this kind of thing myself but didn't feel right so took her down ,cried like a baby and now off to bury her .

Nothing you could have done so. Keeping jabs up to date or hunting rats etc. wouldn't have stopped it.

Had a very good 5 year old bitch die from cancer a few years back and from the first sign 'till death was, like Blade, a few days.

Their gameness doesn't allow them to show weakness, 'till it's to late.
