Another Worthwhile Petition ....

Recommended Posts

Dear All,

You may be interested in signing this petition (see link below), if you have not done so already.

I am currently involved with an on-going situation that occurred in January 1976 during a tour on operations in South Armagh. Any help to get this ridiculous witch hunt debated in Parliament and, subsequently (and hopefully), abandoned would be most welcome. As you may know in nearly all cases terrorists were given immunity from prosecution at the Good Friday Agreement .The Security Forces, who operated lawfully on the orders of the Government, under difficult legal constraints and also suffering more than 1000 fatalities, have not been given similar protection from prosecution

The main reason for the majority of these cases being dug up from the past, and being investigated by the Historic Enquiries Team (NI) and PSNI, is to obtain financial compensation for the relatives of the deceased/injured, who were in the main terrorists. I believe we have better things to spend the taxpayers money on!
