Vet . . . South Yorkshire.. Rotherham,sheffield,doncaster, Barnsley Areas Please.

Hello all.

 

Can anyone recommend a good vet in or around these areas please. . ?

 

The place I have used since 1978 is getting worse and I think it might be time for a change.

 

My Lurcher bitch requires her Dew claws removing and I had a little conversation with my vet and 2 local to me and received 3 different prices..

My vet was best price but it wouldn't be him doing the opp and to be honest I do not have much faith in his other staff/vets.

 

Recently my dog was under the weather and the useless person I got seemed to know less than me about the dogs anatomy which ended up costing me silly money for blood test and urine samples etc etc.....to reveal nothing.

 

SO.

 

1. I'm in need of a good bone man / vet who knows working dogs.

 

2. Local to me in Rotherham/Sheffield if poss.

 

3. Reasonable with prices.

 

4. Speaks English to a level I can at least understand.

Paul Evans in Oldham is a real good running dog vet , but he'd be about 40 mile away from you

Have to say i hate using vets now there's only 2 i got faith in and they ain't your average high street cat and dog vets.

 

Some of the things they do to cream money out of people especially the old fowks makes my piss boil.

Go to your local greyhound track,ask to see the vet there

Gondas vets in Maltby. Great lass, understands working dogs and good prices. £200 for my dogs toe off Inc x-ray and antibiotics.

Spires vets in chesterfield for general stuff, can't book so can be a wait, but I've never felt overcharged and are senesible never been pushed into anything intact probablay the opposite. And not used yet but Paul Evans come highly recommended as a greyhound vet from many people.
