Ratting, Bedford

Recommended Posts

Yeah I gues 20-30 came out, this one had some bales inside so they came out much slower, one or two at a time, had my mate there and he shot five with his air rifle, also had my new mutt in there but he didn't have a clue, chased them, but wouldn't grab them, he could have easily caught most of them.

Only just seen this! Would've come down, unfortunately I'm back to work tomorrow

Got a few in a hedgerow I need clearing, it's about 13 yards long and all brambles, going to be cutting the brambles out to replant a new hedge, plenty of rat holes and I see them in there every night with thermal, will also be a digger on hand to clear the brambles and dig a trench for new hedge, so digging the holes out be no problem if needed, anyone interested let me know.

could probably move a shed or two while we're at it.

I don’t mind travelling too much mate. If you are moving sheds would be worthwhile for a bit of a laugh. Let me know closer to the time and if I’m free I’ll see if I can get down. Only got one dog

Yeah, I would probably move the sheds whilst I was at it, make the day a bit more worthwhile for all of us, would need to be fair dry for that though, far too wet to even get a track machine near them.

May be easier to let me know when your free, so long as it's fair dry we can work around to suit, all I need is to get the new hedge planted before spring really kicks in,end of Feb really.

I think one dog would be ok, I've got a farm mutt who has got the hang of catching and killing squirrels, so think he would be ok on rats now as well.

Mbalabala Safaris has since 1985 offered big game hunts in Zimbabwe. They only offer hunts in areas where they are confident that there is a good amount of game, so there are good chances that the visiting hunters will succeed.

The buffalo hunt will take place in an area in northern Zimbabwe called Makuti, which is an approx. 500,000ha large and not fenced - free range hunting. The area has not been hunted for 7 years, until last year, which means that there is a good number of dagga boys who roam in small herds, the so-called "bachelor herds". Last year they had a fantastic season where the area provided some beautiful mature buffalo bulls.

The price is 10,000euro and includes:

      • 7 day guided hunting 1: 1 with a professional hunter

      • Trophy fee for 1 buffalo

      • All meals

      • All drinks

      • Airport pickup/delivery

      Not included in the price:

      • Flights to / from Zimbabwe

      • Visa - $ 35

      • Hotel stays before / after the hunt

      • Shipment of trophies
