Nik_B 3,790
Is it ok to put plants in the greenhouse at this time of the year? I've got a load of basil plants inside and I'd like to put in bigger pots as they're going to get rootbound.

You would be better off taking them out of the pots trim half an inch off the roots all round the root ball and re-pot them with fresh compost in the same pots. I'm looking forward to using these green houses next year but I've not got green fingers at all.
Nik_B 3,790
Actually I think we may have power down there, would heated mats work or would it need to have an actually heater in there? It doesn't get too cold here but we've had a few frosts. Nick
Tiercel 6,986
Basil is an annual herb, so it only lasts a year once it flowers it dies. So dependant on how long ago it was sown it does not have much time left. https://www.todayshomeowner.com/annual-and-perennial-herbs-for-your-garden/ TC
