Growing it will still be just as illegal as it is today unless I've missed something. Heroin is legal to prescribe as a medicine, doesnt mean you won't be getting the jail if you're caught producing it!

Is it going to have to be on your medical record like the US?

Not sure I'd want that

The legal dispensaries i went into last week people dont have it on their medical records, they walked in off the street, google WEEDS glass and gifts in ottawa,no prescription required, difficult to say how its going to be regulated in ireland, the world is waking up,i have a house in the Philippines, the president Duterte who had hard drug addicts murdered on the streets at the drop of a hat has filed a medical cannabis bill and has a team from UP researching the benefits of medicinal plants.

The construction and rail industry are anti-anything, no way in hell are they going to allow folk work who've had a spliff at the weekend.... ?

See what bills they draft in,if you have a perscription and your drug checked and have CBD,THC or CBC in your system you should be covered, this isn't about a spliff at the weekend, sativex is an oral for example, its going to have stringent regulations.

For it to have any benefits I'm guessing the dosage will have to be on spliff levels.....

Everything I've read about it as mentioned serious illness like cancer, cystic fibrosis etc. It says in the link exactly that, if they don't have some kind of regulation then it'll be open to abuse and that brings a whole new set of problems.

I'm all for legalising it, especially for medicinal purposes.

Sativex does give the user cannabinoid intoxication, users do get high from it.

It should just be legalised full stop. If people are buying from dealers they usual end up going on to other drugs which are not good for you

I agree it should be legalised but it has no place in safety critical work.

Of course most hippies don't work so we are good to go I guess....
