Is There Any Way To Upgrade The Power On A Hw30

Recommended Posts

I thought if I could get this to full power it would be perfect for hunting

getting full power is easy, but getting useful power is another story, it can be done but will cost you more time and money than the gun is worth so unless it has a special place in your heart I would sell it and buy a full power springer like an hw80 or an air arms, the reason these make good full power rifles is due to there weight absorbing much of the recoil, there are very few small full powered springers that are nice to use without some tuning, the bsa Lightning is a typical example

It's 177

Then as said you have got a good one, if you want a small light full power rifle similar to your hw30 get yourself a hw99 a TBT tuning kit and a Vortek piston seal, along with some polishing and fettling will get it up to close to the legal limit, BUT it will have to be a .22 mate, as the .177 version will not get much above 10.5 ftlbs.
